Unbelievable! Air-conditioned Pedestrian Bridge in Port Harcourt

As is my style, I was just browsing through Nairaland, when I saw a post that the NDDC built an air-conditioned pedestrian bridge across Aba Road, in Port Harcourt. The bridge is supposed to link pedestrians crossing from one side of the road to the NDDC's offices. The NDDC office is the multi-storeyed building to the left.

My first reaction was wtf!!!! But I then realized that this was likely part of a larger scheme to AC the whole of Aba Road, and then possibly the whole of Port Harcourt city. I like this initiative. This is dividend of democracy.

Anyone remember the giant TV screens that were placed at a major roundabout in Warri? In spite of the traffic at that roundabout whenever there is a premiership match, I still commend that concept.

You can't solve a problem until you identify and fully understand the problem. For now, we've fully solved two of our identified problems. Nigeria is moving! I have talked my own.
